Model Environment “ME” is a female-owned small business in Huntsville, Alabama.
ME was founded in 2011 in Los Angeles, California by Christy Beck. As a former booker at a modeling agency, Christy combined her experience in the arts and entertainment industry with her passion for environmentalism and founded Model Environment. Initially ME was a platform for fashion “Models for Earth” to share their environmental efforts to inspire others through community litter pickups, simple Do’s and Don’ts of waste management and provocative short-format videos. As ME evolved we expanded our community by including all “Models for Earth” in our efforts. Restoring our planet is a job for all people, not just fashion models.
In 2015 Model Environment was re-established in Huntsville, Alabama. Because of our reputation and experience cleaning waterways and hosting community litter pickups, Model Environment became a vendor with the City of Huntsville to assist in keeping the Huntsville community clean. Through our business partnerships we are able to pay Earth Advocates a living wage while also providing cost effective passionate environmentalists to clean earth. It doesn’t feel like work when you love what you do!
As Model Environment continues to grow we hope to see our mission and our reach expand into other states. Our service and passion is valuable. We know other municipalities will benefit from our work. Christy beck
Founder & CEO
Christy is a Huntsville, Alabama native but really considers herself a citizen of Earth and the natural environment.
After two years of college, Christy moved to New York City and then to Los Angeles where she lived for seventeen years. Primarily her professional experience was in modeling, and photography, the hair industry, and environmentalism. Her time working in the modeling industry sparked Model Environment.
In addition to her environmental work, Christy is a Reiki practitioner, novice gardener, fascinated by metaphysics, and mostly loves spending time with her family, friends and pets Shepherd and Pepper.
Jasmina Hdagha
Model Ambassador
Jasmina was born in Croatia and raised in Morocco. At the age of 16 she was “discovered” then soon moved to Milan where she began working with prestigious fashion clients. After modeling for several years in Europe, Jasmina moved to Los Angeles to pursue her passion for acting.
Jasmina works in Los Angeles as a fashion model and level two Ashtanga yogi. She practices parkour and has picked up housands of littered cigarette butts around Los Angeles, Santa Monica and Malibu to prevent them from washing down storm drains and into the ocean.

WEBSITE DESIGNER
Mel has been involved with Model Environment since the beginning in 2011. A branding & web design professional, Mel lends her eye for design to the Model Environment website.
She also has participated in trash pickups and other ME activities. Model Environment is the perfect opportunity for her to combine two things she cares about – community and helping the environment.
Mel currently resides in Bali, Indonesia where she hopes to soon expand the ME mission.
